Providence Edges Bears, 3-2, in Overtime

Senior Bridget McNamara (Bethesda, MD) scored her second goal of the season to tie the score at 2-2 early in the second half, but the Friars (4-11) would score 10:29 into the first overtime to earn a 3-2 win over the Brown field hockey team (3-10) on Tuesday evening at Lennon Family Field.

No. 11 Bears Suffer 1-0 Loss To Providence College in Opening Game of Ocean State Classic

Providence, RI- Providence College sophomore forward Greg Davis scored in the 69th minute to help lead the Friars (2-1) to a 1-0 victory over the No. 11 Brown men’s soccer team (0-1) in the semifinals of the second annual Ocean State Soccer Classic at PC’s Glay Field. The Bears will now play the loser of the Bryant/URI game in the consolation match at 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5 in Kingston, R.I.

No. 11 Bears Take on Providence in Ocean State Classic on Friday

Providence, RI- The No. 11 ranked Brown men’s soccer team will travel to Providence College on Friday, Sept. 2 to take on the Friars at noon in the semifinals of the second annual Ocean State Soccer Classic. The winner of the PC/Brown match will play the winner of the Bryant/Rhode Island game. The games are scheduled for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday Sept. 5 at the University of Rhode Island.
